The anticipation leading up the new season of “American Horror Story” is palpable, due to the FX mini series format; each season is a new theme, cast and story, meaning that anything is possible. Season 4 of “American Horror Story” which premieres on October 8th, will keep the signature “creep” feeling with a new “Freak Show” theme. And while fans have already knew they were in for a scary carnival, solely based off recent teaser trailers, a new leak of the first five episode titles gives fan even more insight into the forthcoming “Freak Show” plot! Here’s what we know so far, the official FX synopsis confirmed that “American Horror Story” Season 4 will be set in Jupiter, Florida in 1952, the town is described as a “quiet, sleepy hamlet.” But that’s before the “Freak Show” arrives. The synopsis continues, “a troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike.”
Now fans have even more insight as to what to expect in the premiere episode entitled, “Monster Among Us.” Considering this completely terrifying episode title with a recent casting sheet leak, the plot of the premiere episode is starting to come together. The “Monster Among Us” will be introduced in the Season 4 premiere episode, and “American Horror Story: Freak Show” is going to hit the ground running, with a brutal murder in the first few minutes.
According to the leaked casting sheet, the “Twisted Clown,” played by John Carroll Lynch, kills the Bachman family, who are residents of Jupiter. The end of the synopsis reads, “This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American Carny experience.” So while the “Twisted Clown” is on a deadly rampage, the performers and owners of the “Freak Show” will have conceded with less interest in the curiosities that have recently come to town. The second episode is entitled “Massacres and Matinees,” which could mean one of two things. Either the massacre of the Bachmann family is discovered by Jupiter police, or the “Twisted Clown” is going 2-2 on “Freak Show” is will be on the hunt for another victim.
The third and fourth episodes of Season 4 seemingly revolve around one character, and considering the limited number of episodes in this mini-series, fans should expect the Edward Mordrake to play a huge role in the overall plot. The third and fourth episodes are titled “Edward Mordrake Pt.1” and “Edward Mordrake Pt.2.” Based on recent spoiler reports fans learned that Edward Mordrake is an English heir who was born with a striking deformity, he has two faces. Edward has one face on the front of his head, and another, seemingly contrasting face, located on the back of his head. The character reportedly refers to the secondary face as his “evil twin.” Therefore fans should expect for the third and fourth episodes to focus on the character, however each episode will most likely be dedicated to each one of the faces. Last but certainly not least is episode 5, which is called “Pink Cupcakes” and while not creepy like the pervious titles, most certainly possesses a sickly, sweet tone.
