Looks like Ryan Murphy is adding some soul to "American Horror Story: Freak Show!" The "Glee" and AHS co-creator has added legendary R&B diva Patti LaBelle to the fourth season of AHS for a four-episode arc according to TV Line.
The website reports that LaBelle will play the mother of Gabourey Sidibe's (who also starred in "American Horror Story: Coven") character. It is also revealed that LaBelle's character will discover the murderous secrets of Twisty the clown killer. The coming season of AHS will focus on the last American freak show during the early 1950s.
LaBelle is not the first singer to appear on FX's hit series. Stevie Nicks appeared in two episodes of last season, "American Horror Story: Coven," as the pure white witch.
Meanwhile season four of "American Horror Story" will see brand new faces along with the return of familiar ones according to a leaked casting sheet. Returning stars include Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett and Evan Peters. While Frances Conroy, Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley and John Carroll Lynch will make their debuts.
