Alex Rodriguez Opens Up About 'Special' Friendship Between Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian-West

There’s a special friendship brewing between Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian West. And, it’s beyond beautiful, believes J.Lo’s fiancé A.Rod. The decade and a half old friendship seem to be getting cozier by the day. “We’ve all known each other for a long time,” said Rodriguez. “… But Kim and Jennifer are very, very close, and she’s almost like a mentee of Jennifer, and Jennifer’s mentored her a lot over the years,” he added.

The revelation arose during A. Rod’s candid chat with PEOPLE. A.Rod, who’s clearly in awe of the rapport that the two women share, also maintained that it was really “fun” to have had to do anything with Kardashian West. Throwing in a bit of context, the trio was recently a part of a marketing campaign for which he had collaborated with Poral from Facebook. The ad for the Portal smart video-calling system features Lopez and Kardashian West bonding over a call — doing the typical BFF thing—face masks applied and ready for a great chat. Just then, Rodriguez enters donning a matching face mask and trying to partake in the special BFF time. “This is such fun,” he says in the ad. “We should do this more often,” he added.

Well, it’s not restricted to work anymore. A.Rod and J.Lo have begun to indulge in a series of “fun” activities with Kardashian West. And well, these activities range from wild holidays to Taco Tuesdays at the Lopez- Rodrigues residence. Um, did we also mention that Kardashian West kinda won brownie points from Rodriguez for her singing skills? Well, now you know…

Not too long ago, Kardashian West maintained that it was a dream come true for her to be able to associate with Lopez. While it is pretty much out in the open that they’d make for an awesome threesome. It doesn’t mean that Kanye West is being left out, entirely. They all (including Kanye) have a ball whenever they’re together. But Rodriguez maintains that nothing compares to the special bond that the ladies share. He believes it’s inspiring to see the two respect, inspire and support each other at a time when most women celebrities are pitted against, or worse, throwing low-key shade at each other.
