Telemundo host Adamari López knows that giving is receiving; to receive well, we must give well. The mother of one decided to partner with Mamás Latinas and Target to gift an expecting mom a new nursery decked out in none other than Target’s exclusive Cloud Island brand.
“I remember how I felt decorating and getting every detail ready for Alaïa’s nursery. My favorite part was that unique feeling of wonder and excitement the mom-to-be experiences while organizing and preparing everything for the baby’s arrival!” said the Puerto Rican remembering how special was bringing her daughter Alaïa home over two years ago.
The lucky mom-to-be is Raquel Pinto from Miami, who is 36 weeks pregnant with her first child and just moved to a new home. Adamari turned an empty room into one of the most gorgeous nurseries just for the baby girl. “The goal is to create a welcoming, safe environment for baby that also reflects your own personal style so that the nursery fits seamlessly into your home,” Adamari said. “I love the convertible crib because not only does it give the nursery a sleek and airy look, but it can be converted into a daybed and toddler bed as the child gets older.”
“One of the most important products featured in the nursery is the bedding. The bedding and blankets in the Cloud Island collection are not only adorable but have been verified as free from harmful levels of more than 300 substances. As a mom, that’s reassuring knowing those are items the baby will be using daily,” she added.
Feeding your children is one of the most important tasks of the day. When breastfeeding, mothers should always be comfortable and relaxed. “You don’t need to compromise style for function. The rocking chair is one of my favorite pieces because the neutral color can be accessorized with the fun prints in the room and the matching pillow is included to offer more back support since we know mom will be spending a lot of time feeding her baby and rocking them to sleep,” said López.
“There are so many beautiful prints and patterns in the Cloud Island collection to choose from, but since Raquel plans to name her baby girl Coral, the goal was to ensure the color was embodied throughout with the floral theme,” Adamari explained. “Adding those little touches of mom’s style, whether it’s a pillow, wall decoration or print/pattern, also made the nursery special. I really enjoyed being able to bring Raquel’s nursery vision to life!”
Cloud Island nursery décor, bath and layette pieces are available in Target stores and online.
