Once again, David O. Russell will reteam with “Silver Linings Playbook” actors Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper and adding Edgar Ramirez for the Fox 2000 film “Joy,” about a single mom of three from Long Island, Joy Mangano, who went from having nothing to becoming one of the most successful entrepreneurs of the US. Mangano invented the Miracle Mop, Huggable Hangers, amongst other products within her company Ingenious Designs. Joining the star-studded cast will be “Orange Is The New Black” Latina actress, Dascha Polanco. The project was written by Oscar nominated, “Bridemsaids” writer, Annie Mumolo.

Polanco, repped by Gersh and manager Dave McKeown, will be playing the roll of Jackie, Joy’s fearless and loyal best friend who helps Joy start the mop company and stands by her side through every struggle. Additionally, the actress will next be seen in Tom McCarthy’s Adam Sandler movie, “The Cobbler” which hits theaters March 13; and as Dayanara Diaz, on the third season of Netflix’s “Orange Is The New Black”, starting June 12.
