Aaaron Hernandez, the famed NFL player now serving time behind bars, has reportedly attacked another inmate at Bristol County Jail earlier today. TMZ Sports broke the news that the former New England Patriots player took a walk down an isolated hallway but reconginzed another inmate, launching into a violent attack against him and leaving the other man bruised and battered. The guy had apparently been harrassing Hernandez throughout the day, leading to this vicious attack.
The 24-year-old Aaron Hernandez has been in jail since June 26, 2013 following the charges being laid for the murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. He has been kept in solitary confinement after fears emerged that he may have been a target for other inmates due to his celebrity status. Hernandez has not yet been convicted, however, more details have emerged relating to the charges. Hernandez himself has not commented on the status of his case.
Aaron Hernandez was indicted by a grand jury on Aug. 22, 2013, for the murder of Odin Lloyd. He is also under investigation for a series of other murders in Massechusetts. Hernandez has maintained his innocence. A former University of Florida football star, Hernandez was drafted into the Patriots in 2010. On June 26, 2013, Hernandez was released from the Patriots after officers from the North Attleboro Police Department in Massachusetts arreste him at his home.
