28-Year-Old Man Dies of Cardiac Arrest While Having Sex With Girlfriend

A 28-year-old man reportedly died of a cardiac arrest while he was having sexual intercourse with his girlfriend in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India on Sunday, July 3.

The deceased, identified as Ajay Parteki, 28, reportedly worked as a driver and a welding technician, and his 23-year-old girlfriend is employed as a nurse in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. The couple has reportedly been in a relationship for the last three years after meeting each other on Facebook.

On Sunday, July 3, the couple met each other at a hotel located in Saoner, Nagpur. They arrived at the lodge at around 4 in the evening and checked into their room. About half an hour later, however, while the couple was reportedly engaging in sexual intercourse, Parteki suddenly suffered a cardiac arrest and fell unconscious.

The woman, who panicked after witnessing this, immediately informed hotel staff about Parteki collapsing. Parteki was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, physicians at the health facility declared Parteki dead upon arrival, News18 reported.

Following this, law enforcement responded to the scene and questioned the woman. During the interrogation, the woman informed them that Parteki had collapsed and lost consciousness while the two were getting intimate.

The couple had recently met each other’s parents and were planning to get married in the near future.

According to Parteki's family members, he had been experiencing a fever for a few days before the incident.

Satish Patil, Assistant Police Inspector of the Saoner Police Station, said that evidence of medication or drugs was found in the hotel room, or in possession of the man, the Times Of India reported.

Meanwhile, Parteki's autopsy report pointed to a possible heart attack as the reason for his death. Following this, the officers registered a case of accidental death in connection with the incident and sent Parteki's blood sample to the lab for chemical analysis.

According to cardiologist Doctor Anand Sancheti, an untreated coronary artery disease can prove to be fatal during strenuous activities like sex. During such physical activities, a greater amount of blood and oxygen is required by the heart and when the requirement is not met, it can lead to dire consequences such as death.
