A 43-year-old Punta Gorda woman was arrested on Wednesday after reportedly raping a 17-year-old boy at a children’s birthday party.
Jessica Good, 43, who is accused of raping a minor after giving him alcohol, was charged with two counts of child abuse and two counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, the Sun Port Charlotte reported.
According to an arrest report, Good went out drinking with a friend before invading a children's party at her acquaintance's home in Port Charlotte on May 9. Her adult friend had already gone to bed at the time of the incident.
Good reportedly made inappropriate sexual comments in front of the children before giving alcohol to a 17-year-old boy.
The female suspect would later force herself on the minor. The underage victim struggled to push her off his body because she was too heavy, the boy told Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies in his testimony.
Good's booking information showed that she weighs at least 250 pounds.
According to the arrest report, a young girl told deputies that she was asleep in the living room where the assault had occurred when she was awoken by the commotion. The boy reportedly pleaded for help from the underage girl.
Once Good let go of the boy, he rushed to the bathroom and vomited. The suspect shortly gathered her belongings and left the home.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office was alerted after the boy opened up to a staff member in his school the following week, saying that he was raped over the weekend.
Upon initial questioning, Good told deputies that she “blacked out” and did not remember what happened during the night. She's being held at the Charlotte County Jail on a $150,000 bail.
According to court records, Good of 25300 block of Sandhill Boulevard in Punta Gorda does not have any criminal history in Charlotte County. Her criminal prosecution hearing is scheduled for June 21.
In a similar but unrelated story, a Terrebonne Parish woman has been accused of impersonating a teenage girl online to force the minor she was posing as to have sex with young men she met on social media, WWL reported.
Angela Lirette, 39, reportedly made a profile on social media where she pretended to be the teen victim, periodically reaching out to boys online for sex, Sheriff Tim Soignet of Louisiana said.
Lirette was said to send boys nude photos of the girl she was impersonating and set dates for them to meet up to have sex, police said. Lirette is also accused of having sex with one of the underage boys she "catfished."
Police arrested Lirette on May 13, charged for human trafficking, online impersonating, indecent behavior with a juvenile, cruelty to a juvenile second degree, pornography involving juveniles, and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.
Lirette is being held in the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on a $1 million bail. Further investigation is underway with more charges to follow against the suspect.
