
One of Mazda's bantamweight roadster greatest strengths is its simplicity, lending its design better longevity than most cars. That said, we always welcome a facelift to freshen things up a bit.
First introduced in 2005, the current generation MX-5 Miata gained a power retractable hardtop in 2006 and then received its first facelift in 2008. Since then, it has remained relatively unchanged.
Through a leaked Japanese brochure that found its way circulating online forums and Carscoop.com, images of the latest 2013 Mazda MX-5 Miata facelift have made its way to iMotor Times.
Details are still limited but we do know that the 2013 model will receive a new grille treatment, black-bezel headlights, and a new pair of fog lights. Another major change is its pedestrian safety hood that deploys at the moment of pedestrian impact.
