When you put together Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg in a movie as dirty cops, and add Baltasar Kormakur to direct them, you get pure awesomeness. Include in the mix some explosions here and there, $43 million dollars that went missing, the CIA and a drug cartel.
Yes, "2 Guns" promises to literally blow your mind, elevating the bar in the cop genre and featuring a star-studded cast out of their comfort zone, playing different roles that create friction and electricity, making this film a must-see this summer.
Since the movie features a lot of Mexican references, the use of Spanish, Latino actors and Hispanic culture in general, Universal Pictures decided to release a special "Restricted Trailer" for the enjoyment of the Latino audience.
Fabián Castro, VP of Universal Pictures Latino told Latin Times in an exclusive statement: "Universal is always interested in attracting the U.S. Hispanic audience to its films in unique ways. With '2 Guns,' the movie is chockfull of fun, yet explicit, Spanish language moments in addition to locations and cast that appeal to Hispanics."
This time, Universal used the Internet as their resource to include those moments in a special trailer since the content wasn't appropriate to promote on television for its explicitness.
"The restricted content is content we would never be able to show on television when promoting, but we wanted to find a creative way of bringing it to a Latino audience that would appreciate its colorfulness, in the hopes that it would make the movie break through the clutter for this US Hispanic audience. It's not every day you hear Mark Wahlberg say 'Adiós Puto'," added Castro.
Get a first look of this "modern western" film and listen to Mark Wahlberg curse in Spanish in a priceless moment that will delight all of your senses.
"2 Guns" will be in theaters this Friday.
