A 14-year-old girl was allegedly drugged, raped, and tortured with a blowtorch while being held hostage for a month by a woman she met at a party.
The teen, who will not be identified due to her age, had met the accused, 24-year-old Elham Naaman, at a party in north-western Sydney where they befriended each other on social media.
According to the police, the duo decided to meet up again at a hotel in Parramatta on the evening of June 5.
Soon after getting into a car together, the minor girl was allegedly raped by an unidentified man inside, the Daily Telegraph reported.
The teen was then taken to a hotel room where the horrific attacks continued, a court heard.
It is alleged that the girl was held at the hotel and other addresses over the next month up until July 6.
Documents presented in the court alleged that the minor was drugged, sexually and physically assaulted, and tormented during that time she was held against her will.
She was allegedly drugged with methamphetamine and the “date rape drug” GBH, court documents said.
The teen was also injected with heroin and threatened with a blowtorch - which set the scarf she was wearing on fire, police allege.
Naaman was arrested on Sunday morning at Berkshire Park in Sydney's northwest.
She was charged with kidnapping in company, supplying a prohibited drug, stealing, intimidation, and damaging property by fire with intent to injure.
According to her solicitor, Upol Amin, she denied the charges and the judge refused her bail.
Police said more arrests are expected in the coming days as they believe two other women and a man were involved in the alleged kidnapping.
In another unrelated incident, a 6-year-old girl was raped on the terrace of her building by a food delivery boy who was delivering an order at the apartment.
The accused, identified as 19-year-old Lokchandan Sahu, who works as a delivery boy for a Chinese restaurant, reportedly molested and forced himself on the victim at around 10 p.m. on Oct. 5.
Sahu, who was dropping off a food order at the young girl’s flat, reportedly noticed that she was alone in her apartment. He asked the child to step out of her flat as he asked for directions for his next location address.
He then manhandled the child and forcibly brought her to the terrace where he sexually assaulted her.
The incident came to light after the girl narrated the incident to her mother later that day. The mother took the girl to a police station and registered a complaint against the accused.
Officers immediately launched an investigation into the incident and arrested Sahu on Wednesday, Oct. 6.
