When Yolanda Andrade teamed up with Montserrat Oliver for Telehit’s show “Hijas de la Madre Tierra,” rumors about their sexuality starting surfacing due to the ridiculous chemistry the Mexican TV hosts had on set.
Fast-forward 16 years, although they never confirmed a romantic connection between them, they have both finally admitted they are attracted to women.
During a recent interview with TV Azteca’s “Ventaneando,” Andrade opened up about her relationship to “La Voz México” former contestant, Melissa Galindo, and added she never had anything to hide.
“I never had a problem, I was never hiding, not even from ‘la migra,’” she joked. “I mean, I never had an issue with it, I’ve always just been me.”
When the reporter asked if she was living the happiest moments of her life, she replied, “I am, truth to be told. We all have freedom of speech. Love is meant to be yelled, lived, transmitted…you can see it and feel it.”
The 45-year-old Sinaloa native also pointed out that she is trying to enjoy her romance with the singer on a day-to-day basis, instead of thinking too much about the future.
“I am living this life journey and I want to take advantage of it,” she said. “I want to be happy, that’s what it’s all about. It will last for as long as it has to last.”
In April 2015, Andrade and Galindo were spotted together for the first time in Tulum, Quintana Roo. Since then, the couple has been sharing countless photos and videos of their adventures together on social media.
Joe’s partner in crime, Oliver, is also enjoying life next to her girlfriend Yaya Kosikova, whom she met a year ago in New York City. The foursome often goes on double dates in Mexico City.
