Microsoft is prepping for its Xbox One game console launch and new details point to Black Friday as the date it will be available. An earlier report this week had a November 8th release date after a Wal Mart internal memo leaked that listed the console for a midnight launch. However, a new report from Lazy Gamer shows a November 27th launch according to a listing on Amazon. The post has the console set to be available two days prior to Black Friday, November 29. A chat exchange between the online publication and Amazon employee confirm the date that is on the details section. Supporting this rumor are Dualshockers, which found several game titles listed on Amazon for the same date.
Releasing the XBO a couple days prior to the beginning of the holiday shopping season, will give the hardcore gamers an opportunity to purchase it before the hordes of bargain shoppers plague the stores. This will help create buzz for the system and make people aware of it during the shopping spree as it will have direct competition from Sony. Their entertainment console, the PS4, has confirmed their launch date to be November 15th. The competition will be fierce and launching closer to Black Friday will keep the name fresh on people's minds.
The Xbox One will come bundled with the Kinect 2, which will be deeply integrated into the console and will allow users to browse using voice and gesture commands. The Kinect 2 will have an integrated 1080p camera and 30fps that is said to be able to detect the tiniest movements like rotation of wrists or shoulders. It is expected to not only play games, but features Netflix, HBO Go, Internet Explorer and Skype apps that will house them all in a hub perfect for all your entertainment needs. The XBO price is expected to set you back $399, $50 more than than Sony's PS4.
