Last week on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" the host demonstrated the new PlayStation 4 console before it was released and it would only be fitting for the video game enthusiast to demo the next-gen Xbox One before its release Friday, November 22. Fallon and Will Forte, with the help of Microsoft's Blain Howard, demonstrated some of the Xbox One features, navigated the home page and played a couple of games. As expected the demo was Kinect heavy with Fallon demonstrating the console's facial scanning technology and later playing a motion controlled jet ski racing, "Sports Rivals," against Forte.
Howard noted, that Sports Rivals jet-skiing game is a temporary freebie for early adopters. As long as you download the Preseason trial before November 30, you'll be able to make some motion-controlled waves until March 2014. There is little shown on the Xbox One's new interface but we do get to see how multiple accounts will show up on a single console and how the interface shows a gamer what they were doing last. We also get to see a little gameplay from "Forza Motorsport 5" at the beginning of the clip.
The Xbox One will launch tomorrow, Friday November 22. But as Fallon and Microsoft's Blain Howard pointed out the console is all out of pre-orders, so getting your hands on one of these coveted consoles might be tough. Major retailers like GameStop, Target, Best Buy and Walmart have all sold out and even Amazon who sold through a second batch within a couple of hours. The highly anticipated console is expected to be a hit, but many are wondering how it will stand against the new PlayStation 4. It's only a matter of time now as it will release tomorrow.
