Microsoft has now responded to the accusations and has detailed how the users can maintain their personal privacy when using the Xbox One's motion-sensing Kinect camera.

"You are in control of what Kinect can see and hear," Microsoft notes. They emphasize that gamers can access privacy settings during Xbox One setup or at any time afterwards. Also Microsoft assures that background noise and conversations will not be recorded or monitored by the Kinect.

The company notes that "You are in control of what Kinect can see and hear" writing, "By design, you will determine how responsive and personalized your Xbox One is to you and your family during setup."
