The PS4 and Xbox One get a release date from Toys'R'Us Twitter

A set of release dates by Toys'R'Us say the Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4 will launch two weeks from each other in the UK. BT Games reports that the Xbox One will be available in Britain on November 29, while the PlayStation 4 will arrive on December 13.

IGN reports when Toys'R'Us was contacted to ask if these dates were correct or just placeholder dates a spokesperson for the company said:

"I can confirm this information has been given direct from our suppliers and is accurate."

However following this news Microsoft released this statement:

"We have announced that Xbox One will launch this November, but have not shared any further details. It's common practice for retailers to use placeholder dates for pre-order items without an official launch date. Please stay tuned to news.xbox.com, where we share the latest official details about all things Xbox One."

Unfortunately with the contradicting news it's hard to tell which is true. Perhaps Toys'R'Us is using placeholder dates.

Gamers won't know when the exact date is until Sony and Microsoft come out and tell us. All we have now are speculations but we do know that the Xbox One will be available sometime in November and the PS4 before the end of the year.

Do you think the dates from Toys'R'Us are accurate?
