Last year was the revitalization of the comic book movies due to two films: Marvel's "The Avengers" and Warner Bros and DC's "The Dark Knight Rises."
Warner Bros. and DC are looking to keep the trend going with the release of next month's "Man of Steel," which takes a trip down the life of Clark Kent before he becomes Superman. Sony and Fox, however, are taking matters into their own hands with the X-Men and Spider-Man franchises.
Casting announcements have gone through the rumor mill and back again since the announcements of the films. But Sony has revealed which iconic characters the "Amazing Spider-Man 2" actors will be portraying while Fox made it no secret that Hugh Jackman and the entire X-Men film trilogy cast will be joining the X-Men film.
Although Director Bryan Singer has yet to reveal who will play who, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that reoccurring stars will reprise their old roles, but what about the new actors joining the X-Men film?
Singer recently gave a hint or two in when he took to twitter to reveal who "Game of Thrones" Actor Peter Dinklage might play. Singer tweets, "Reviewing tomorrow's work on the flight back to Montreal with #PeterDinklage #Xmen #daysoffutrepast pic.twitter.com/8uh8SNLYYo."
It's been heavily speculated that Dinklage will play the main villain of Days of Future Past, Bolivar Trask, who created the mutant-hunting robots known as the sentinels. And from the look of the grown out facial hair, looks like Dinklage could possibly be our bad guy. Singer also tweeted pictures of "The Hunger Games" actress Jennifer Lawrence reprising her role as Mystique and naming actor Evan Peters as Quicksilver.
It is still uncertain who the bad guy is, but from the looks of it our money goes to Dinklage. Do you think He will be the villain in the new X-Men movie or will he be a hero?
