Contrary to reports that Anna Paquin would not return to the latest X-Men film Days of Future Past, it has now been revealed that the actress will reprise her role as the southern powerhouse, Rogue. A report from December states director Bryan Singer, reportedly had to cut scenes that showed Paquin as Rogue, but after seeing her name in the credits in the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" trailer BuzzFeed reached out to get confirmation if she would actually be in the film.
20th Century Fox did respond and confirm that Paquin would indeed be in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" but warned that this is “Essentially, [it’s] a cameo” role.
Even as a cameo role it is still exciting to know more original X-Men members will make an appearance in the film.
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" will launch in theaters next month May 23. The return of the franchise will see the return of Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellen as older Magneto and Professor Xavier. But the younger versions of some of these mutants will also star in film like Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy reprising their roles as younger Magneto and Charles Xavier. Jennifer Lawrence will return as Mystique, Shawn Ashmore as Iceman and Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde.
