One of the most highly-anticipated sporting events of the year, Wrestlemania XXX promises to entertain wrestling enthusiasts from around the globe. With premier talents in Triple H, Daniel Bryan, Kane, the Undertaker and many more, the ultimate WWE showcase is stacked full of top-level athletes, providing those watching from home at the thousands taking in the scenes live from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana with non-stop entertainment. While loads of current wrestling stars will be in attendance, a legendary figure recently announced plans to take in his first Wrestlemania in three years, though he’s not ready to disclose what role he’ll take on come the April 6 event.
“I’m here to visit the Hall of Fame, I have my podcast and I’m also going to be at Wrestlemania 30,” said six-time WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin said to TMZ during an interview from the New Orleans International airport. “You’ll have to check out the pay-per-view or go to WWE Network and find out what I’ll be doing there, that’s breaking news. I cannot tell you here at the airport, you must tune in to WWE Network or buy the pay-per-view and then you will see what I will be doing’ at Wrestlemania 30. And that’s the bottom line.”
While Stone Cold’s presence will surely excite the millions of viewers watching Wrestlemania 30, legendary star Hulk Hogan – who starred in the main event at the inaugural Wrestlemania three decades ago – will serve as host for the sports entertainment affair. Excited about the opportunity to lead the occasion, the former champion says the sport of wrestling has evolved in such a great way, especially through on-line content. Through the availability of the new WWE Network, Hogan says wrestling will undoubtedly continue to grow while still honoring past legends, including himself.
“I've walked through it,” he told IGN when asked about his thoughts on the new network dedicated to the WWE. “I'm not really good with the internet stuff and all that, but my son Nick set everything up for me. But yeah, I was pretty much right. I'm immortal! I kept telling everybody "the Immortal Hulk Hogan" and now that the WWE Network is here, they can see I was right all along. I'm going to live forever and you can watch my old matches even after I'm gone. So it's pretty cool to see all the stuff that they've done. I mean we're all immortals now because people can watch us whenever they want. It's really cool.”
