A woman has reportedly been banned by a ride-sharing app after a video of her hurling racist remarks spread online.

The woman, whose identity was not revealed, was nicknamed “DC Karen” by social media users. In the footage that has gone viral, the woman could be seen arguing with an Uber driver as both stood on Cathedral Heights street.

“I employ you. I’m your boss. I’m your f–cking boss,” the angry woman said. “You’re a piece of s–t,” she said not long after before using the N-word six times in a row.

Aside from these, the woman also called the driver a “slave,” “schizophrenic” and “illiterate.”

In response, the driver called her a coward and a bitch.

It appears that the argument stemmed from a phone charger as details remain unclear. At one point, “DC Karen” asks the driver for a phone charger. But when he suggests she call the police on him, she says, “My phone’s gonna die if you can speak English!”

The Uber driver also captured footage of the incident on video.

At one point, the Uber driver also warned the woman that she would be exposed online. However, the woman replied by saying she knows and claims she did not do anything wrong.

“Yeah, I am now. Because I did nothing wrong,” she said. “I’m white and you’re not. That’s why you don’t like me. Because I read and write.”

After seeing the video, Uber announced that the unidentified woman has been banned from using the app.

“The behavior seen in the video is sickening and has no place on the Uber platform or anywhere in society,” a spokesperson from Uber said in a report by The Daily Beast.

As of this writing, the identities of the woman and the Uber driver remain unknown.
