A woman in Champlin, Minnesota was arrested after being accused of sending a disturbing note to her neighbor threatening to eat her "delicious"children. "The children look delicious. May I have a taste?" the note read, according to a Facebook post by the kids' mother on the Champlin community group page.
"To the individual who sent this letter...The answer is NO!" the children's mother responded, "and beyond anything physical you may NOT rob them of the security and comfort they feel. The trust they have in other people, or the joy they experience on a daily basis because of who they are. You DO NOT have the right to try to steal this from them by sending an anonymous letter trying to rip their world apart. I will NOT let that happen. What you MAY do, since you were so formal in your letter to ask, is you MAY turn yourself into the police, or you MAY seek help for your sexual and/or homicidal urges. Either way, the children of this community are off limits."
The family also received suspicious magazine subscriptions delivered to their home,"Instead of a name on the address label it said things like 'tasty children' along those lines," Champlin Deputy Police Chief Ty Schmidt told WCCO-TV. In panic, they called the police who then traced and arrested a woman with the name of Carrie Pernula. According to CBS "the police said the woman was upset because the children made noise and left items in her yard. Carrie Pernula was arrested Friday and faces possible charges of gross misdemeanor terroristic threats and stalking."
