The Washington Wizards visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, Jan. 6 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena with both teams seeking a win to get back on the winning track.
The two teams are coming off losses with the Wizards dropping their last assignment to the Milwaukee Bucks, 113-123, and the Thunder falling short against the Orlando Magic, 115-126.
In that loss to the Bucks, the Wizards were led by the duo of Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle Kuzma who had 22 and 20 points respectively. Porzingis also finished with nine rebounds and eight assists.
The Wizards are scoring 112.1 points per game and have been shooting 48.1% from the field. On the defensive end, they are allowing opponents 112.7 points per game and have held their opponents to 46.1% shooting.
Expected to be out for this game are Bradley Beal and Taj Gibson.
Looking at the other side, the Thunder were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 33 points to go with four rebounds and four assists. Josh Giddey chipped in 13 points as well.
OKC is scoring 116.1 points per game and shooting 46.1% from the field. They are limiting the opposition to 117.1 points per game and 46.8% shooting from the floor.
Listed as out for the Thunder in this match are Jaylin Williams, Aleksej Pokusevski and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl.
The Thunder are slight favorites with -1.5 against the spread with the Wizards at +1.5. The Moneyline is -119 for Oklahoma City and -101 for Washington.
OKC also leads the regular season series against Washington, pulling off a 121-120 win back in November.
