According to experts, Prince William and Kate Middleton are officially the most influential royals on Instagram, earning the most money from social media posts.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who are on the top of the list, reportedly have a potential income of £26,073 ($34, 484) per sponsored Instagram post. Queen Elizabeth is the second most influential on social media, with 10.3 million Instagram followers and only 39 followings, earning an average of £23,159 ($30,766) per sponsored post.

On third position are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with reported earnings of £19,821 ($26,333) per post.

Furniture retailers, the Bed Kingdom, conducted the analysis. They are taking the Instagram profiles of the British Royals combined with marketing calculators to know how influential the family are on social media.

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie has the fourth-largest number of followers with a total of 1.5 million fans, which means that she could earn £3,124 ($4,150) per sponsored post. Number five on the list is the heir to the throne, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla.

The Instagram post earnings could possibly be another source of income for the Royal Family, despite never posting paid advertisements on social media.

The spokesman for Bed Kingdom which made the analysis said, "While members of the Royal family have never posted a sponsored post, this analysis gives a fascinating insight into the potential revenue that each Royal family member could earn, while also revealing which Royal has the most influence on their audiences."

Their account, "ClarenceHouse," has 1.5 million followers, and if it started to post sponsored posts, they could earn £3,109 ($4,130) per post.

With more than 754,000 followers, Lady Kitty Spencer, who posts under the account name kitty.spencer, could earn £2,113 ($2,807), she is at the lower end of the possible-earning scale. At the same time, Sarah Ferguson could have less than half of that with over 356,000 followers, a total of £1,064($1,413) per post.

Meanwhile, at the bottom of the list is Lady Amelia Windsor, 26, with over 96,000 followers. She could earn £385 ($511) per sponsored post. She is currently 43rd in line to the British throne.
