Prince Harry has been urged to act more like Queen Elizabeth II after he showed his bad manners and rudeness during President Donald Trump’s visit to the United Kingdom. A royal commentator claimed that the Duke of Sussex looked grumpy during this week’s state banquet.
Three years ago, Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, showed her support for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. After learning that the “Suits” alum was supporting his biggest competition, Trump branded her as “nasty.”
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward said that it seems that Trump’s comments from 2016 still had an impact on Prince Harry. The new dad reportedly didn’t take any part in his royal duties, and he also seemed as though he didn’t want to be at the state banquet.
“He appears to be behaving in a rather immature way and letting his personal animosity take over from his natural good manners,” Seward told Express. “Whatever his personal feelings, it’s his duty to support the Queen regardless and take a dip from his grandmother who has never allowed her personal feelings to interfere with her duty. It’s bad manners and rude,” she added.
Several years ago, Trump also made an offensive comment about Princess Diana. During his interview with Howard Stern, Trump said that he thinks he could have gotten or nailed the Princess of Wales.
“I think I could have,” Trump said. “She was actually really beautiful … I thought she was supermodel beautiful … She had times when she didn’t look great and she had times when she looked better than anyone in the world … But she had the height, she had magnificent skin, she was a great beauty,” he added.
But despite Trump’s comments about the late Princess Diana, Prince Charles and Prince William still faced him and his wife at this week’s banquet. Queen Elizabeth II was also present at the gathering.
Body language expert Judi James said that Her Majesty absorbed the President of the United States during their meeting. James also said that Trump looked like a small boy in a toy shop as he walked around Buckingham Palace.
