Meghan Markle was once again criticized by “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan. After returning from his summer vacation, Morgan immediately threw shade at the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry.
During his conversation with royal expert Robert Jobson, Morgan said that Meghan and Prince Harry’s attempts to be “woke royals” won’t work because they are hypocrites. The host also hit out at the royal couple after it was revealed that they completely cut ties with Meghan’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr.
“While we were away there was this whole hypocrisy issue of ‘we want to save the planet, every footprint counts’ and it turns out their footprints are on endless private jets,” Morgan said. “Secondly, there’s this new interview with Meghan’s father, apparently she’s now washed her hands of him completely. He’s never met the baby, he’s never met Harry,” he added.
According to Morgan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s attempts at playing the political card about big issues won’t impact the public because their lifestyle says otherwise. The host also stressed the fact that he doesn’t have any problems with Meghan and Prince Harry having private jets, but the issue is that the royal couple is also telling the public to take care of the environment.
Jobson also echoed Morgan’s statements by saying that he also thinks that Prince Harry and Meghan made a mistake after they lectured the public on climate change. Shortly after, the royal couple boarded a private jet to their vacation destination.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, on the other hand, took a commercial flight with their three children. Jobson also predicted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be taking a commercial flight to Balmoral, and they did.
But it was previously revealed that Prince William and Kate’s Flybe flight wasn’t as economical as the public previously thought. After all, an empty airplane with the logo of the airline had to be flown to pick up the royal couple. This way, when Prince William and Kate get off the plane, their photos will also show the company’s name.
