Jennifer Lopez recently opened up about her upcoming wedding and why she and Alex Rodriguez are determined to get wed no matter what. In a recent interview, the “Hustlers” star said that their idea of marriage all comes down to their Latin roots.
Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged earlier this year, but the A-list couple seems to not have solid wedding plans yet. Because of that, there have been rumors that they might not really be interested in tying the knot after all.
Lopez kicked off the year with her epic “It’s My Party” concert tour and is now busy with her new movie, “Hustlers.” With Rodriguez also busy with his own projects, it’s understandable why the couple still doesn’t have solid plans for their wedding yet. However, that doesn’t mean that they’re not looking forward to their big day.
During her recent interview, Lopez said that despite her burgeoning career, she still knows what’s important in her life, and that’s her family. And while she’s one busy woman these days, she makes it a point to put her love life first before anything else.
According to Lopez, she’s lucky to have found a man who values marriage just the way she does. “Marriage is important for both of us,” she said. “We both come from traditional Latin families and we want that,” she added.
Lopez also emphasized that despite their busy schedules, she and Alex Rodriguez still know that their wedding is their priority. “Everyone wants somebody to grow old with,” she said. “At the end of the day, how much work can you do, how much money can you make, and what does it all matter? It doesn’t, really,” she added.
The 50-year-old superstar previously revealed how she wants to do things differently when she marries the retired MLB player. In an interview back in July, Lopez said she wanted her big day with Rodriguez to be as special as possible.
“I’d like a big wedding and I’d like to get married in a church this time,” she said. “I’ve never been married in a church and I’ve been married three times, and once was nine months and once was 11 months, so I don’t really count those,” she added.
