Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who announced their relationship officially earlier this year, will be getting married in 2020. While there have been several reports about how the duo is planning to tie the knot in Tuscany next year, very little is known about who will be sponsoring the wedding.
Since it’s going to a be a royal wedding, it goes without saying that just like the previous ones, this one too will be a lavish extravaganza. However, since her sister Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank fell prey to a controversy when it came to money matters, it’s being assumed that the wedding of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo might want to avoid a similar scenario this time.
Beatrice’s to-be husband, Edoardo, is a multimillionare business tycoon. Considering that he’s insanely popular as a property tycoon and is filthy rich, he might just volunteer to pay for the wedding because he can totally afford it. However, these are mere speculations, and neither Beatrice nor Edoardo has made any official statement about the royal wedding so far.
The couple has been romantically involved for over two years now. After making their first appearance in March this year, the couple was seen together on several occasions.
Beatrice and Edoardo got engaged in September. “We are thrilled that Beatrice and Edoardo have got engaged, having watched their relationship develop with pride,” Prince Philip and Sarah Ferguston, Beatrice’s parents, said in a statement on Sept. 26.
“We are the lucky parents of a wonderful daughter who has found her love and companion in a completely dovoted friend and loyal young man. We send them every good wish for a wonderful family future,” they continued.
Meanwhile, Bea and Edo’s wedding next year will go down in the pages of royal history for a special reason. Beatrice’s mom, Sarah, Duchess of York, will be the first-ever mother of the bride from the royal family to have her name written on the marriage certificate. The church has revised its rule of having just the bride’s father’s name and occupation on the certificate by including the mother’s name too.
