A viral video captured a tense encounter in Lakewood, Colorado, where a white woman directed her anger toward a Latino family peacefully enjoying a swimming pool BBQ.

The incident gained widespread attention on social media, with many labeling the woman as a "racist Karen."

The video, recorded by one of the individuals present at the pool and subsequently shared on TikTok, features an unidentified blonde woman wearing sunglasses and a bikini.

She can be heard expressing her dissatisfaction with the size of the group, accusing them of being too numerous.

"Yes, it's true," she said. "You have a f****** Mexican party in a pool. Trash," she added, as a man can be seen walking behind the woman while talking on the phone. It appears that he is familiar with her.

"You can't do that. You can't just record me," the woman says in the clip before slamming the phone off the hands of the person taking the video.

According to the TikTok user who originally shared the video on the platform, the group present at the pool was gathered for a family BBQ, which included children among their family members.

According to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in 2021, 23 percent of Latino individuals who speak Spanish in the United States reported experiencing criticism for speaking Spanish in public.

Additionally, 20 percent of all Latinos surveyed stated that they had been subjected to offensive name-calling within the past 12 months.

The survey findings revealed that discrimination against Latinos was reported by non-Latinos and other Latinos, with individuals experiencing varying levels of discrimination based on the color of their skin.

This suggests that discrimination within the Latino community is also prevalent and that the color of one's skin can influence the extent of discrimination faced.

The TikTok video, accompanied by commentary from a third person referring to the woman as a "racist Karen," then transitions to a scene where the woman is restrained on one of the sun loungers by the same man who had previously accidentally bumped into her.

The man is still engaged in a phone conversation while being surrounded by other individuals.

It is worth noting that "Karen" is a term commonly used as a pejorative expression to describe entitled middle-class white women who exploit their privilege to assert their own desires, often in a disrespectful or dismissive manner towards others.

Throughout the video, the woman can be heard shouting and using profanity, including the phrase, "Get the f*** out."

"Go back down to Denver" and responding that she lives in Lakewood when asked to leave the pool herself. "I live here, nowhere you ever came from, you f****** low-class slime," she can be heard saying to someone, Newsweek reported.

"Let's find her! Mind you, she was saying racial comments the whole day, even pointing out our parties children saying 'when they grow up they will be trash too'," wrote the TikTok user who shared the video.

"According to this Karen, all Mexicans are low class. I hope this video is found by her coworkers, family and friends. Acting like this at family BBQ with children is absolutely disgusting," the user mentioned.
