There's no question that when you're born into a Royal family, you get to live a fairly lavish lifestyle. With several properties under the Crown that you can live at, trips to different countries, clothes, great food, and more - people have begun to wonder though if the finances behind all of this come from taxpayer's money or if they Royals themselves actually earn a buck or two.

When it comes to Prince Harry and Prince William, their finances come from a mix of inheritance and earning their keep. Here's how much both princes are worth:

1. Prince Harry ($40 million)

The Duke of Sussex recently filed a number of lawsuits against publications that he said were bullying his wife, Meghan Markle. The lawsuits won't be leaving a hole in his pocket though as Prince Harry is worth an estimated $40 million.

Prince Harry received an inheritance from his late mother, Princess Diana, when he turned 30. After taxes, the inheritance amounts to $10 million. He also inherited some of her jewelry though the value of the jewels were never revealed. Prince Harry also served in the Royal Air Force for 10 years where he earned around $53,000 a year as captain. He eventually retired in 2015 so that he could focus more on his philanthropic work.

The late Queen Mother, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, had reportedly left a $17.9 million inheritance for both Prince Harry and William. Harry will reportedly get a huge chunk of that since William will be inheriting the Duchy of Cornwall - this was set up in 1337 by Edward II and was meant to provide the future Princes of Wales with an income. Currently the estate is worth $1.3 billion and covers the expenses of Prince Charles, his wife Camilla, Prince William, Prince Harry and their wives Kate and Meghan, respectively.

Similar to his younger brother, Prince William's net worth is made up of money that he's inherited, but he will also be receiving a tad bit more thanks to his being heir to the throne. As mentioned earlier, the late Queen Mother left $17.9 million for both Harry and William - though the former will be getting the lion's share as William is to inherit the Duchy of Cornwall. The Duchy of Cornwall is 53,000 hectares of land spread across 23 countries and is estimated at $1.3 billion, it's used to cover the expenses of most of the Royal family.

William also inherited $12.7 million from his late mother, Princess Diana, along with some of her jewelry and her wedding dress. Also, while in the military, William served as a helicopter pilot for the RAF Search and Rescue Force and received up to $74,000 yearly until he retired in 2013.

Looks like both princes are valued at the same net worth - though Prince William's is expected to increase if and when Prince Charles takes to the thrown. After all, the Duchy of Cornwall's estate is massive and it'd be exciting to see how things change once it gets passed down to him by his father.
