Lady Gaga’s rumored relationship with Bradley Cooper hit fans earlier this year, culminating into a big issue for gossip news, especially after Cooper and his wife, Irina Shayk, split a few months back. But the Mother Monster shot down all hints of the rumors last month after being sighted on a date kissing her new boyfriend, Dan Horton.
Although the Cooper-Gaga romance hype has died down, fans still hoped for their fateful reunion at the 2019 MTV VMAs. After being nominated for two awards, Gaga and Cooper had fans excitedly waiting for the two to appear together onstage to possibly receive their awards.
Gaga and Cooper’s hit duet “Shallow” has been on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for almost a year, getting knocked off only this month. The song has been lauded as the Longest-Charting Best Original Song Winner, staying on the charts for almost 45 weeks.
The iconic song from their award-winning drama movie “A Star Is Born” landed the duet nominations for Song of the Year and Best Collaboration. And this placed them on a pedestal beside Ariana Grande and the Jonas Brothers, among other notables.
Thus, fans were disappointed to know that Gaga and Cooper didn’t make an appearance at this year’s MTV VMAs, despite the stunning milestone for their song. Given the tough competition being faced for both awards, it becomes quite understandable why the two celebrities opted to sit out of the event.
Unfortunately for the “A Star Is Born” co-stars, last night’s awarding saw them losing the Song of the Year award to Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road (Remix),” while the Best Collaboration award went to Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s “Señorita.”
Nonetheless, the loss can’t dampen Gaga’s win in shotting down all the dating rumors between her and her colleague Cooper. “All the talk of Bradley was all in fun; she’s ready to dispel those rumors once and for all,” said Entertainment Tonight’s source.
“She likes to date men on her team ... she is known as a workaholic, so it fits her lifestyle to meet someone while working,” the source added.
