Amazon has made it that much easier for people to shop its online store via social networking. Now the company has incorportated shopping directly from your Twitter feed without leaving the site at all.

To use this new feature is actually very easy! Once you link your Twitter profile to your Amazon account, just reply to a tweet that has an Amazon product link with a message that includes "#AmazonCart." Immediately after doing so you'll notice that the product is in your cart on Amazon's website. Plus users will get a reply tweet updating you on the status of your request.

In an introductory video Amazon announces its new feature writing:

Introducing #AmazonCart, an exciting new way to add Amazon products to your Cart, without leaving Twitter. Simply find a tweet containing an Amazon product link, reply with #AmazonCart, and check out when you are ready, as the product has been quickly and easily saved in your Cart.

While this is an awesome new feature, Arstechnica does make a good point saying "#AmazonCart, like so many other social media features, seems tailored for the service's advertisers and not its users." While the feature is useful it is not catered to the everyday shopper. In the video released by Amazon you see a father in the park who happens to be on Twitter and uses #AmazonCart to buy Pampers for his kid. Realistically any parent needing diapers isn't going to buy them on Twitter, then check out at Amazon and wait for shipping.

Amazon does attempt something new and exciting but it will be interesting to see just how many customers actually use the #AmazonCart feature.
