“The Tomorrow People” returns to the CW for episode 2 of its premiere season and the powerful super humans get even more desirable in tonight’s episode “In Too Deep.” Despite all being incredibly attractive, “The Tomorrow People” also possess the power of telepathy, teleportation and telekinesis. And while the series premiere introduced us to the modern day superheroes, tonight the audience will get a closer look at their daily lives and how simply surviving is their main priority. “The Tomorrow People” are hunted by Ultra, an organization that uses the Tomorrow People to hunt down others and neutralize their extraordinary powers.
Now that Stephen has broken out of his former ordinary life, Ultra attempts to probe his brain for more information on the elusive “Tomorrow People,” not knowing what to do the newest addition to the superhuman crew turns to John and Cara for help. John completely rejects Stephen doubting his loyalties to the group, where as his girlfriend Cara trusts the guy. Cara is willing to help Stephen to protect himself against Ultra as long as John doesn't find out. In the midst of Stephen’s fight for his mind, Ultra has already tracked down the identity of a recent “break-out,” who has been using his new telekinetic powers to commit crimes. The “break-out” also catches the attention of Stephen, he finds him but so does Ultra and their powerful swat team.
Stephen is terrified and decides to call out to “The Tomorrow People” for help even though it endangers them, John senses and opportunity and decides to turn Stephen into a double agent. Now, he will seemingly act as an Ultra spy, while really reported back to “The Tomorrow People” about their motives and movements. But if Stephen’s loyalty was a question before, it is even more questionable now. Will Stephen stay true to the superhuman crew of will he turn his back on them to embrace Ultra and his uncle?
The second episode of “The Tomorrow People” airs tonight, October 16, on the CW at 9pm. If you miss “In Too Deep” you can watch online via live stream available at CWTV.com.
