Friday is the final two episodes of season four of "The Legend of Korra" on Nickelodeon. And even better the network is said to be releasing the episodes at midnight! This means fans won't have to wait until Friday at noon to find out how the Avatar Korra series will end.
It's definitely a bittersweet moment. While we can't wait to find out what happens in episode 12 and 13 we don't want it all to end. And with the co-creators, Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, taking a break from the Avatar universe this series finale is all the more sad. With that said what will fans see in "Day of the Colossus" and "The Last Stand?" Well if we had to guess, based off the titles alone, we would say episode 12 "Day of the Colossus" will deal primarily with team Avatar trying to stop Kuvira's giant mech-tank, while season 13 "The Last Stand" will show the final battle between Kuvira and her army and the Republic City forces.
From a sneak peek clip released by Nick we know that "Day of the Colossus" will pick up where the last episode, "Kuvira's Gambit," left off. In the clip we see that team Avatar somehow managed to survive a blast from Kuvira's spirit-canon. Bolin earthbends a huge boulder off the team and everyone runs to safety. Tenzin gets to high ground to spot the enemies whereabouts, while Suyin and the others head to Asami's office to grab the hummingbird suits leaving Korra, Lin, Mako, Bolin and the airbenders to face the giant mechatank. "The Legend of Korra" series finale will hit the web at 12:00 a.m. EST. If you don't want to stay up late there are a few other ways to watch. You can catch the episode on the Nick app for Android and iOS. You can also purchase the episode from iTunes, Xbox Video, Google Play and Amazon Instant Video for about $2. Hulu Plus subscribers will be able to watch as well but be advised Hulu is a bit behind and the new episode may not be available right away.
