Finally, "The Legend of Korra" returns tonight with an all-new season! Through all the rumors, teasers and spoilers it feels like it has taken the creators, production team and everyone involved ages to finally release the hit-animated show! But keep in mind it was actually shorter than the wait for season two after the first season ended, which took about 15 months to complete.

Tonight's premiere is guaranteed to be awesome and fans are eager to set their eyes on the third season in the popular Nickelodeon show. Just check out some of these Twitter reactions from the Korra fandom below:

You probably already know that the season three premiere will be an hour and a half long and feature the first three episodes of "Book Three: Change," which include "A Breath of Fresh Air," "Rebirth" and "The Earth Queen" (if you didn't know now you do). According to IGN the synopsis for "A Breath of Fresh Air" reads: After the events of Harmonic Convergence, Avatar Korra discovers that her decision to leave the spirit portals open has unexpected consequences. Wild spirit vines have overgrown Republic City and Airbenders are suddenly popping up across the four nations.

And for "Rebirth" or "Rebirth of a Nation" (Which some are calling the second episode) the description reads: Korra, Tenzin and Team Avatar search for new Airbenders in an effort to recruit them and rebuild the Air Nation. Meanwhile, a band of sinister criminals are organizing to hunt down the Avatar themselves.

Lastly, TV Guide's synopsis for "The Earth Queen" reads: The team look for Airbenders on a trip to Ba Sing Se.

After the shows premiere tonight "The Legend of Korra" season three will take a one-week hiatus for July 4 weekend. The show will return with episode four on July 11, and the rest of the season will lock in a regular time slot on Friday nights at 8:00 p.m.

"The Legend of Korra" will air tonight at 7:00 p.m. on Nickelodeon. If you are unable to watch for whatever reason there are some alternatives. You can purchase the episode via iTunes or Amazon Instant Video but it will not be available immediately. You can also watch the episode for free on Nickelodeon's website with limited commercial interruption but this option is only available the day after the episodes air.
