After a devastating farewell to a beloved "Family Guy" character last month it looks like good news awaits in tonight's episode. From the episode description it looks like Brian Griffin will return in episode eight, "Christmas Guy!" The official description for episode eight, "Christmas Guy," reads: When Carter cancels the annual Quahog Christmas carnival out of hatred for the holiday, Peter must turn his Scrooge of a father-in-law into a hometown hero to save the event. Meanwhile, Stewie devises a plan to get the one and only thing he wants for Christmas.
After Brian's death fans were up and arms and demanded that the character return to "Family Guy." It was reported that MacFarlane and the producers of the hit-animated show were not considering bringing Brian back and even replaced the dog with a new character, Vinny. Last week's episode made no reference to Brian's death and it seemed like the Griffin family had moved on, but tonight's episode should see the return of the lovable TV dog. It is uncertain if this is the same episode that was rumored where Brian falls in love with a character voiced by Maya Rudolph. If not, fans should expect to see more of Brian in the future.
While the episodes are sure to be outrageous and shocking as usual, the guest list of stars lending their voices for the hit-show is extensive for the current season.
