“The 100” is a new show that premieres tonight on The CW. It is a sci-fi drama that involves attractive young people being sent to post-apocalyptic Earth. We except this from shows on this network but this might be a little different due to the fact that they are in constant danger of any of them getting a spear through the chest or a knife in the throat.
Jason Rothenberg, the show’s creator said "Our memos from them are hilarious sometimes. You can cut someone's throat, but you cannot show side-boob. I continue to find that, I must say, slightly ridiculous." This show is based on a novel by Kass Morgan.
“The 100” is about life 97 years after a nuclear apocalypse. The Ark is a space station that holds the last defender of humanity but things are starting to get gloomy, when oxygen and other resources are lacking. The ruling council secretly decides to send 100 juvenile delinquents down to Earth to see how livable it is. They go wild when they land on the planet, walk off the ship and don’t die.

Rothenberg, who is working on his first TV series after 15 years in Hollywood as a production assistant and screenwriter, said "I wanted to play in both of those worlds and juxtapose the claustrophobic, draconian, strict-discipline world of the Ark with this wild mysterious, untamed life on the ground.” He added "Yeah, OK, so people will have sex, but at the end of the day, who cares if there are savages out there who want your head?"
