You might want to schedule Thanksgiving Dinner a little early this year to get the best bang for your buck on Black Friday.
If you're on the prowl for some great deals on TVs at Target, you have to get in line early. The retailer said its doors will open at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
"We heard from our guests that they look forward to kicking off their holiday shopping with deal-hunting on Thanksgiving night," said Kathee Tesija, executive vice president, merchandising, for Target. "Opening at 9 p.m. gives Target's Black Friday guests a more convenient way to create an after-dinner shopping event that the entire family can enjoy."
Target will sell an Apex 32" LCD HDTV for $147 - the regular price is $249.99. For $349, you can get a Westinghouse 50" LCD HDTV. Target said the quantities for this "special purchase" will be limited and no rain checks will be offered.
BestBuy will open its doors at midnight and will hand out limited doorbuster tickets at around 10 p.m.
Best Buy will sell a Toshiba 40" LCD HDTV for $179.99 - down from a regular price of $419.99 and for $189.99, Best Buy will offer a Panasonic 32" LCD HDTV.
Exclusively, Best Buy will sell an Insignia 29" LED HDTV for an unknown online-only "hot price," a 26" one for $99.99 and a 55" which costs $599.99.
On Black Friday, at Best Buy, you can get a Sharp 60" LED HDTV for $999.99; a Toshiba 50" LED HDTV for $399.99; a LG 24" LED HDTV for $159.99
If you're into 3D, you can get a Panasonic 55" 3D HDTV with 4 pairs of 3D glasses for $899.99.
Walmart's 2012 Black Friday Extravaganza starts on Thanksgiving Day and is broken up into three events. The first event starts at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day; the second starts at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and the third starts a 5 a.m. on Black Friday.
During event two at 10 p.m., Walmart will offer an Emerson® 32" HDTV for $148, an Emerson® 40" HDTV for $198, a Vizio® 60" LED Smart TV for $688, an Orion 24" HDTV for $78, a Samsung 32" HDTV for $248, a Samsung 43" Plasma HDTV for $378, a Samsung 46" Smart LED HDTV for $598 and a Samsung 51" Plasma HDTV for $478.
During event three at 5 a.m. on Black Friday, Walmart will sell a Sharp 70" HDTV for $1,798, a Sharp 60" HDTV for $998 and a Samsung 39" LED HDTV for $398. Walmart will also offer an Emerson 50" LCD HDTV for $298.
