Walmart, BestBuy Black Friday 2012 Deals Include Tablets Such as iPad 2, Kindle Fire HD

Black Friday arrives in less than two weeks and stores and retailers have already begun their heavy advertising campaigns in order to draw attention to their products early on.

Among the plethora of products and articles available this season, tablets will be a hot item to buy for presents or for personal use. Thus, in this occasion Latin Times features deals of some of the highly sought-after tablets (including e-readers) out in the market currently.

BestBuy

BestBuy will open at midnight and pass out reservation tickets for items up to two hours ahead of time. They have a few tablets up for grabs on what is expected to be a hectic Black Friday.

Best Buy will sell Samsung's white 8 GB Galaxy Tab 2 7" for $179.99. Customers will also get a $20 Best Buy gift card with their purchase.

If you're more of an Apple user, Best Buy plans to offer the 16GB white Apple iPad with Retina Display and Wi-Fi for $499.99 and the 16GB black iPad 2 with Wi-Fi for $399.99.

Expect to also see Amazon's tablets. Best Buy will have the 8GB Kindle Fire for $159.99 and the 16GB Kindle Fire HD for $199. Both purchases come with a $30 Best Buy gift card.

For $279.99, Best Buy will have a black 16GB Asus tablet and for $169.99, an 8GB Nabi 2 Tablet.

Walmart

Walmart will open its doors at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Last year, Walmart opened its doors at 10 p.m.

"In addition to offering amazing low prices on the season's top gifts, Walmart is taking the historic step to ensure wishlist items like the Apple iPad2 are available for customers during a special one-hour event on Thanksgiving," the retailer said in a statement.

Walmart will sell Barnes and Noble's 8GB Nook for $99.

While the retailer plans to offer exclusive deals online, you will have to go into your local Walmart to get an iPad. Walmart said it plans to sell the 16GB iPad 2 with Wi-Fi for $399 only in its stores. Customers can choose from black or white and will get a $75 gift card with their purchase.

For $49, Walmart will offer an Ematic 7" Touchscreen Android 4.0 Tablet with 4GB of memory.

Target has not revealed any of it Black Friday deals or said when it plans to open its doors, however, insiders found out that the retailer will sell Barnes & Noble's 16 GB Nook HD for $269.
