‘The Walking Dead’ Season 9 Finale’s Most Unexpected Deaths

The Whisperers are ready to draw some blood, and according to a recent leak, at least eight character deaths are coming in the highly anticipated finale episode of “The Walking Dead” Season 9. Fans seem to be so sure about some of the survivors' fates, but if there's one thing consistent about the zombie show, it’s that it relies on shock factor.

Taking this into account, viewers should expect only the most shocking and unexpected deaths to come. While names like Ezekiel, Henry, Jerry, Eugene, Enid have been the common subject of fan theories, here is a whole new set of names that might be worth rethinking.

1. Rosita

A lot of people seem to think that Rosita's comic book death is going to Gabriel. However, his knowledge of the helicopter people pretty much guarantees his safety. It is likely that “The Walking Dead” is dredging that storyline up again after Season 9.

Rosita's death has to happen because it is one of the most unforgettable in the source material after Glenn's comic book demise. Remember when everyone thought he was safe because the comics just made it too predictable if he did? Well, he still ended up being Negan's second victim in a surprise twist.

2. Tara

Tara is supposedly unkillable, at least in Season 9, because she is the new leader of Hilltop. But this is exactly why she could be in danger. In the comics, Alpha made sure to take out a head of a community (quite literally) to deliver her message as clearly as possible. With “The Walking Dead” setting up Daryl as the new leader instead, he will likely take over after what would be Tara's short reign.

3. Aaron

Fans seem to think that he will be Alexandria's new leader after Michonne's exit next year. However, it is pretty clear that the spot is reserved for Negan. The former Savior leader, should he end up dealing the killing blow on Alpha, has that council gig in the bag. He's been reading up on laws anyway, and he's probably got Judith's vote to boot.

4. Kelly

Everybody thinks it's Luke who dies because his comics counterpart did, but Kelly could take his place. She feels like she owes Luke so much, including her life, after he saved her. It seems that she might return the favor soon. Additionally, her death will push Daryl and Connie closer together as a full-on tracker tag team.

5. Siddiq

Being Carl's save doesn't give Siddiq a free pass. It has been six years since that sacrifice, plus he's a doctor and the show seems to only have room for one. It doesn't look like the other doctor, Enid, is coming to the fair. Siddiq, on the other hand, wanted to take part in it that he even confronted Michonne to make it happen.

6. Nabila

Jerry is way too excited to be a dad again so he probably won't be. Going by “The Walking Dead's” history of short-term happiness and single parenthood, the mother of his children is toast. Her loss may not be that huge for fans, but it will unlock a darker side of the usually sunny Jerry.

“The Walking Dead” Season 9 is down to four episodes. It won't be long before fans will know whose heads end up on the pikes.
