"The Walking Dead" fans have been dying with anticipation season four of AMC's hit-zombie show. And Sunday night they finally got a taste of what is to come in the upcoming season. Showrunners have been promising a whole new level of danger for season four. They've also stated that the walkers will present a greater threat than ever before. Although pretty short in length Sunday's clip did just that. The minute and 20-second clip showed lots of walker action, check it out below.
The clip features Michonne (Danai Gurira) returning to the prison compound on horseback. As she rides up to the main gate, Carl (Chandler Riggs) opens it, but not before several walkers ambush her into a holding area between the newly-rigged main gate and then a secondary opening into the main compound. Michonne leaps from her horse and is in hand-to-hand combat with two walkers, but can't manage to draw her katana. Carl and Maggie are seen rushing to her aid.
From the clip it's obvious that the survivors have reinforced the prison since season three's tank attack. The main gate is now a thick metal structure operated by some kind of manual pulley system. It's also worth noting that Michonne was horseback instead of driving.
But if you remember the clip from Comic-Con 2013, Michonne, Daryl, Tyreese and newcomer Bob Stookey were seen running from an overrun car so maybe this is Michonne finding her way back to the prison from the incident?

"The Walking Dead" season four premieres Sunday, Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. ET. On AMC.
