The end is here. "The Walking Dead" episode that fans have been waiting for will come Sunday, when the cult series closes for the season.
Series star Norman Reedus opened up about the finale, saying it is going to be "explosive."
"Everyone is furious. Daryl has come back and he's furious, Michonne is furious, Glenn and Maggie are pissed," the actor told The Hollywood Reporter. "That's what the finale is about; everybody's toes have been crushed and everyone is ready to rip each other apart."
In the last episode, "The Sorrowful Life," Reedus' character Daryl was forced to put down his brother after the Governor (David Morrisey) turned him into a zombie. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) has also been hurt by the Governor, and he has also assaulted various members of the prison group.
"He's offended everyone on a super personal level," said Reedus.
It is a full on war in "The Walking Dead," and Daryl's brother Merle's will not be the only one. This was one bloody season for the show, which already killed off main characters Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne Callies) and T-Dog (IronE Singleton) in the first batch of episodes.
"People will definitely die," confirmed Reedus, but he did not elaborate as to whom. And truth to be told, nobody is safe. Recent events seem to point at everyone, from Andrea (Laurie Holden) to the Governor, who everybody wants dead.
"Daryl definitely wants to cut the guy's face off. He wants a ferocious revenge, he doesn't just want to see justice -- he wants to rip his head off," Reedus said.
"The Walking Dead: Welcome To The Tombs" will air Sunday March 31 at 9 p.m., EDT, on AMC.
