Three episodes into Season 5 of “The Walking Dead” and already a lot of questions have been answered, fans watched as Rick’s group made a daring escape from Terminus thanks to the help of Carol, the group was finally reunited, Judith is back with her family, and everything seems to be looking up, some would even say divine. After leaving Terminus in a wake of smoke and walkers, the group found themselves a new sanctuary in Father Gabriel’s house of God, or how Maggie describes it “four walls and a roof,” but their luck was short lived as Gareth and the surviving Terminus members not only kidnapped Bob but continued their cannibal ways by eating one of his legs. However it turned out that the joke was on them because Bob was bitten at the food bank and is dying of the infection, after returning him to the group, there was a classic “Walking Dead” face off which resulted in Rick keeping his promise to kill Gareth with the machete from Terminus.
Following the showdown, the group is safe but divided, Bob is dead and Abraham feels a direct threat for Eugene so insists upon extracting him immediately, meaning that he leaves in the bus taking Maggie and Glenn with him. Now that fans lost one Greene is seems we set to find the other in episode 4 “Slabtown.” Maggie’s younger sister Beth has been notably missing since her mysterious kidnapping at the end of Season 4, but now it seems the character played by actress Emily Kinney is re-entering the story but in a totally different setting.
At the end of episode 3 “Four Walls and A Roof” Daryl had returned from his search to try and find Beth, and while there is a mystery person hiding in the woods behind him, fans know that its definitely not Beth. In the promo video for episode 4, Beth is seen walking up in a hospital setting, which has a pretty modern set up for the world of health care since the zombie apocalypse, additionally she is disorientated and seems to have no idea where she is and how she got there.
Leaving fans with only more questions about her exact location or reasoning behind her kidnapping, fans do get the names of some of the characters in Beth’s hospital location. A sneak peek video from “Slabtown” shows Beth waking up in a hospital room and screaming before pulling out her I.V. to use as a weapon. Then a doctor and supposed police officer enter, introducing themselves as Dr. Steven Edwards and Officer Dawn Lerner. At least we have some names, but other than that, the location of Beth and the treatment she is receiving all remain a mystery. Check out the promo video below and be sure to tune in to episode 4 of “The Walking Dead” this Sunday at 9 p.m. on AMC.
