The final episode of “The Voice” season 10 took place last night, May 24, and what better way to end the journey than with two of the biggest voices in the industry: Ariana Grande and Christina Aguilera.
As expected, the two singers delivered a performance for the ages. Grande opened the show singing her hit single “Into You,” only to be joined by Aguilera with a rendition of the song “Dangerous Woman."
Both singers looked absolutely stunning in contrasting pantsuits and statement necklaces. Grande was wearing all white, sporting her classic high ponytail, while Aguilera was wearing all black with her hair down in rocker waves.
Each of them had their own entourage of dancers to keep the show moving while they perfectly hit the high notes.
Check out the roaring performance!
Initially, Xtina was reportedly set to perform a duet with a hologram of Whitney Houston, but despite the rumors, the late diva’s sister Pat Houston clarified that it was because of technical issues that it was cancelled.
Although Xtina said she was sad about the cancellation, she also expressed that she was flattered by the invitation. “[I am] honored that the Houston family asked me to perform a duet with the legendary Whitney Houston. Sadly, the technology could not meet up to the talent that Whitney possessed, but I do know in time the performance the fans and I have been hoping for will come to life,” the singer said via a statement.
But leaving that aside, in the end Aguilera had much more to celebrate as they announced that Xtina’s team member Alisan Porter had won. Not only did the “Come on Over” singer work hard to help Porter win, but she became the first female coach on the show to have a winner. “Tonight is a true victory for women,” Aguilera said backstage.
