The 2016 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is just around the corner and excitement is in the air! While details of which model will be donning the million dollar Fantasy Bra at the show have been tight-lipped, it is being reported that an Afro-Brazilian has been given the coveted honor.
According to E Online, Victoria's Secret Angel Jasmine Tookes has revealed that she is wearing the Fantasy Bra. The site caught up with the Brazilian-West Indian beauty at the new 5th Avenue location where she spilled the beans about being selected for this prestigious honor.
"I'm so excited. I still pinch myself every day and today is finally the day I can share with everybody," she gushed. "I've been holding this secret for about five months now."I just found out out of nowhere. "I thought I was doing an interview for bralettes."
Since gracing the Victoria's Secret runway in 2012, the beauty was just awarded her Angel wings last year. This year marks her fifth year modeling for the brand and her second year as a certified Angel.
This year's Fantasy Bra is designed by the talented Eddie Borgo. Titled the "Bright Night Fantasy Bra" it is valued at a whopping $3million. The bra is features hand-crafted jewels by AWMouzannar and took 700 hours to create. It consists of almost 9,000 gemstones and weighs mor ethan 450 carats, with beautiful diamonds and emeralds in 18-karat gold.
Wearing the Fantasy Bra is a huge honor that not many Angels get the opportunity to indulge in. Typically worn by supermodels such as Candice Swanepoel, Tyra Banks and many others, Tookes is in great company.
"The day I found out I googled who has worn it in the past, and you see Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum and you're like, 'Where do I fit in this?!'"
Judging by the details of the Fantasy Bra, we are all in a treat once the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show airs in December.
Make sure you tune in on December 5, at 10p.m. to see all the magic and beautifully crafted lingerie pieces all your favorite models will be wearing.
