A group of vegan protestors, led by activist Tash Peterson who was clad in white clothes drenched in fake blood, raided a KFC outlet in Melbourne over the weekend in a visceral demonstration calling for an “end to the animal holocaust.”
In an Instagram post, the animal activist confirmed pouring fake blood upon entering the fast-food outlet as her co-demonstrators lugged speakers blaring loud recordings of seemingly animals bawling.
Paterson and her group went on to disrupt the store's operations as they started shouting protest slogans against the "enslavement" of animals, 7News noted.
"The world's longest and largest holocaust in history is happening right now in the meat, dairy, and egg industries," she expressed in a post. "Non-human animals are enslaved in concentration prisons where they are subjected to rape, torture, abuse, and mutilation before they're sent to murder factories where they are brutally murdered as babies.”
"If you're not vegan, you're an animal abuser. Abolish animal slavery, end the animal holocaust," the further West Australian urged.
In a clip, a woman customer can be seen arguing with the unruly activists.
Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the protesters were confronted and asked to leave the fast-food chain peacefully as they had “made their point.”
Peterson has a history of storming different establishments wearing fake blood-stained costumes.
On May 2, she broke into the Bathers Beach House restaurant in Perth, the Express reported. During this incident, she stood on a table screaming: “Right now, in this moment, there are billions of fish, dolphins, whales, and other marine animals being ripped from the ocean, in massive trawler nets and they are suffocated to death.”
“This is the largest holocaust in history. 2.7 trillion fish are brutally murdered each year for human consumption. If you are not a vegan you are an animal abuser,” she added.
Reports also showed that she was banned from the Optus Stadium for three years for running into the ground during WA’s first-ever AFL women’s derby and promoting her protests, NZHerald wrote.
According to the Independent, the 27-year-old activist has previously compared the treatment of animals in the meat industry to the “holocaust.”
The Holocaust, which took place between 1941 and 1945 saw the deaths of six million Jewish people across Europe at the hands of Nazi Germany and its collaborators.
