Valentines Day 2014 is being celebrated around the world and, as always, tech giant Google has joined in the celebration in its own unique way. Google has created an interactive Doodle that allows users to customize chocolates as a gift on Valentine's Day. The Doodle is already showing up in Australian and New Zealand versions of Google. The Google doodle will show up at midnight in the US as soon as the clock ticks over to the most romantic day of the year.
The Google doodle (see above) features a couple, with one part of the pair making up the first 'O' and the other making up the second 'G' of the word Google. Interestingly, the couple is gender-less: in line with Google's outspoken support of LGBT rights, Google seems to be saying 'love is love.' By clicking on the the heart-shaped box, users can create multiple combinations of ingredients for the chocolates: milk, dark and white chocolates; sprinklers; gummy bears; toffees; roasted almonds; strawberries; ants; cherries; litchis; walnuts and salt.
The Google doodle lets you not only choose your candy insides and outsides, you can also share them with your friends. The heart-shaped box gets wrapped up with the word Google emblazoned across it. Users can then share it with their Valentine via Google+, Facebook or Twitter. Google's doodle is a fun and innovative way to start your Valentine's Day this year with some cheeky online fun. But don't forget to send your Valentine a real card too!
