A 58-year-old woman from Utah has been arrested for allegedly poisoning her husband by crushing up antidepressants and putting them in his alcoholic drinks, telling a witness "maybe this f**ker will die this time."
On December 1, the victim, Keri Denise Kelsey's husband, was admitted to the ICU after falling ill, leading to an investigation into his unusual symptoms, according to ABC 4.
Witnesses later reported that Kelsey had confessed to drugging her husband's drinks, stating she hoped he would die this time.
Kelsey is facing felony charges of surreptitious administering of a substance after she allegedly admitted to putting crushed Trazodone pills into her husband's alcoholic beverages without his knowledge.
The victim, who was unaware of the tampering at the time, had begun feeling "weird" after consuming the drinks and was hospitalized for several days.
Kelsey has been arrested and is being held without bail pending a pretrial hearing. If convicted, she could face significant legal consequences.
