Users Slam Trump for Repeated Jabs at Taylor Swift During Super Bowl: 'Don't Americans Have Real Problems?'

Social media users have taken to online platforms to express disdain for President Donald Trump for repeatedly taunting Taylor Swift during and after Super Bowl LIX, encouraging him to focus on the issues of his constituents instead.

"Don't Americans have like real problems???? [You know] poverty, gun violence, health care is inaccessible, illiteracy, etc why is your president beefing [with] Taylor Swift????" wrote one frustrated X user.

Taylor Swift was one of many high-profile celebrities who attended the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday in New Orleans, Louisiana. As the jumbotron scanned over the star-studded crowd, the camera landed on Swift, who was there to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as he played for the Kansas City Chiefs. The crowd erupted into boos and jeers as Swift was displayed on the big screen.

Trump, who seemingly received cheers from the crowd when the jumbotron camera landed on him at Ceasar's Superdome, quickly took to social media to mock the pop star for the crowd's reaction to her.

"The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium," he wrote on Truth Social. "MAGA is very unforgiving!"

The 47th President also reposted videos of himself receiving cheers and Swift receiving boos side-by-side, alongside a screenshot of a caption from the profile @libsoftiktok.

"Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed. The world is healing!" it read.

Social media users took to platforms to criticize Trump's reaction to these events, pointing out that he seemed more focused on his feud with Taylor Swift than he was towards the needs of the American people.

"Imagine being the actual sitting president of the United States and using your platform to talk about Taylor Swift. Pathetic, fragile, and entirely on brand for a man who thrives on bitterness and insecurity," wrote one infuriated X user. "Meanwhile, Taylor continues to donate millions, uplift others, and live rent-free in your tiny, petty mind. Enjoy your legacy of being the most embarrassing president in history. And the definition of the smallest man who ever lived. Fuck you forever, @POTUS, a.k.a Donny Dump."

"Americans can't afford housing or healthcare and our President is publicly beefing with Taylor Swift," said another.

"It's crazy that selena gomez and taylor swift are being targeted by trump and the white house despite doing better things for the american economy meanwhile his supporters cant even afford a healthcare because of him," wrote a third.

"You know who made more money than Trump without having to cheat on their taxes, steal from charities, or sell bibles... Taylor Swift," said another.

Trump and Swift began feuding in 2024, after Swift endorsed his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, for President ahead of the 2024 presidential elections.
