Police have arrested a Reno, Nevada woman after allegedly breaking into a Sun Valley dental office and stealing cash from the business, as well as for pulling more than a dozen teeth from a patient without a medical license earlier before the robbery, authorities revealed on Thursday.

The suspect, Laurel Eich, 42, faces charges with multiple felonies, including performing surgery on another without a license, burglary of a business, grand larceny, as well as violation of probation or condition of a suspended sentence. Authorities have also hit her with a misdemeanor count of conspiracy to commit burglary.

Deputies responded to an after-hours alarm call on May 3, 2021, on Sun Valley Boulevard, and found a dental clinic with its door opened and windows haphazardly smashed in. A total of $22,861 in cash and checks were stolen from a disturbed cash drawer, according to the New York Daily News.

Police moved to commence an investigation into the incident and identified Eich, who was an employee of the business, as a person of interest in planning and executing the commercial burglary.

Further investigations then saw the woman admit to detectives that she performed a procedure to extract 13 teeth from an unidentified person, where she used anesthetic disposed of by the dental facility, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed, This is Reno noted.

Meanwhile, Redwood City police are conducting a manhunt and seeking the public’s help to identify two commercial burglary suspects caught on surveillance cameras on June 27.

Authorities said that the suspects fled with $8,000 in merchandise from Main Street Market, 804 Main St., after invading the property using an angle grinder. About a week later on July 2, the same two suspects failed when trying to break into the A B&W Market, 3115 Jefferson Avenue, Climate Online reported.

“The first suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male adult with an average build,” a police spokesperson said. “The second suspect is an older Hispanic or White male adult, short in stature, balding, and wearing eyeglasses. The suspects also had a small dog with them during the burglary.”
