Univision Radio is in the middle of another scandal after an internal investigation found an executive guilty of tampering with the ratings survey. “We commenced an investigation and took immediate action by terminating the employee based on our findings,” Univision Radio President José Valle confirmed in a statement. “We are cooperating fully with Nielsen and the MRC to ensure the industry has quality data.” Red flags went up when Nielsen Holdings said problem in its audience pool was isolated to a single household. The executive was not named in the statement but they had access to measurement devices and directly affected ratings for KSCA-FM (101.9). The unnamed executive posed as a member of the sample audience.

With KSCA-FM being involed, it only magnifies that there are severe internal problems with the management of the station. In July of last year, Univision canceled the highly-rated radio show hosted by Eddie "Piolín" Sotelo. The allegations over sexual harrasment ousted the popular personality. "El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo," was the replacement show that shot to number one surpassing other shows in the same market. Univision released a statement last month boasting about being #1 in six major markets, including Los Angeles. “Regardless of platform, Univision is the home of Hispanic America’s favorite content. Always has been and the success of BMF across America shows that it continues to be,” said Jose Valle, president of Univision Radio.

Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo was fired from Univision over sexual harassment allegations made by Beto Cortez, and the radio presenter scored a new gig soon after. SiriusXM announced "Piolin Radio" a new entertainment channel anchored by "Piolin's" morning-drive show, "El Show de Piolin." "I am honored SiriusXM believes in me. As I tell my listeners, ‘We came to succeed.’ And now, as we step up to a new level, I will be doing that on the biggest radio platform possible," "Piolin" said in a statement. "I can’t wait to fly free and for the first time be truly available coast-to-coast. I am excited that my listeners will be able to tune in to Piolín Radio at home, in the car or anywhere mobile. I am looking forward to reconnecting with my fans and reaching out to new listeners everywhere across the country."
